          Encore offers a wide variety of Pilates classes. View the schedule and read through each class below.

        • Reformer Essentials

          Prerequisites: none.

          Reformer essentials class focuses on the principles of Pilates and guides you with detail through exercises, as you become familiar with the use of the equipment. In this group class you will perform exercises designed to strengthen, lengthen and tone the entire body with particular focus on core activation and joint stabilization.

          CoreTone

          Prerequisites: If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we suggest that you attend 3 Reformer Essentials classes first to become familiar with the equipment prior to attending this class

          Reformer CoreTone class is based around one of the key principles of Pilates ‘Centering’ and includes both classical and contemporary Pilates exercises on the Reformer. Your core will be challenged from every angle and every direction as you use your arms, shoulders, back and abs to power through the workout and feel the ultimate core burn!

          Glute Boost

          Prerequisites: If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we suggest that you attend 3 Reformer Essentials classes first to become familiar with the equipment prior to attending this class

          This class will target your glutes and legs while strengthening and lengthening the muscles without bulking. This non-stop flowing class will help you sculpt your glutes and tone your legs while still keeping focus on your core activation. The class is designed to challenge and improve your lower body strength and endurance with an emphasis on precision and control of movement.

          Pilates Circuit

          Prerequisites: If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we suggest that you attend 20 Reformer classes, essentials, coretone or glute boost first to become familiar with the equipment prior to attending this class.

          Rotate through three stations and perform a series of exercises using the Reformer, Cardio Tramp and Tower/Platform Extender. Because exercises are timed and usually last 1 minute, this circuit format gives clients an opportunity to perfect each exercise through repetition and progression. Clients should expect a full body workout that will improve their strength and endurance while allowing them to work with new equipment and expand on their pilates repertoire.

          Reformed Barre

          Prerequisites: If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we suggest that you attend a Reformer Essentials class first to become familiar with the equipment prior to attending this class. No prior experience of ballet is required to enjoy this class.

          This class is a fusion of ballet Barre work and Reformer exercises to strengthen the entire body with a particular focus on toning the glutes and legs, improving core strength and increasing your balance and body awareness. Perform foundation ballet moves whilst standing at your “barre” before transferring these skills onto the Reformer or even to centre work for turns and leaps. This class utilizes the cardio tramp application to teach you jump technique whilst maintaining your posture as supported by the Reformer. With a strong focus on technique, you will learn skills and gain strength to move with grace, stability and agility.

          Cardio Burn

          Prerequisites: If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we suggest that you attend at least 10 Reformer classes first to become familiar with the equipment prior to attending this class. This class requires reasonable level of fitness. Not suitable for beginners, injured or pregnant clients.

          This class will improve your cardiovascular and aerobic capacity, increases your heart rate as well as help you burn fat while sculpting and toning your muscles. This fast pace class uses the Cardio Tramp for core stability and will help you build overall strength. Rebounding on the cardio tramp is a metabolic supporting exercise and therefore it’s a very key when it comes to weight loss. Reduces body fat and increases muscle to fat ratio. Power, intensity, energy are all combined in this fun and energetic workout to get you

          sweaty and toned.

          Power Sculpt

          Prerequisites: If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we suggest that you attend at least 20 Reformer classes first to become familiar with the equipment prior to attending this class. This class isn't recommended for clients with any type of knee, lower back, neck and wrist injuries.

          This advanced class specializes on strengthening and conditioning muscles which focuses on full body exercises. There is a non stop dynamic flow on the reformer followed by many repetitions with short transitions between the exercises. Get ready to be challenged and pushed to your limits while focusing on your mind and body connection.

          Stretch and Mobility

          Prerequisites: None

          This class focuses on stretching and lengthening the muscles using the reformer. Helps increase the range of motion and specializes in spine mobility, flexion,extension, side bend and twist as well as the lengthening of the limbs. We suggest this class if you are looking for better posture, increase flexibility and improve mobility.

          Prenatal

          Prerequisites: Doctor's clearance is required to join prenatal reformer classes.

          This class is designed for pregnant women to exercise safely on the reformer. Modifications are added to this class to accomodate different stages of pregnancy and designed towards the needs of the mums to be. Pilates for pregnancy will help maintain core strength by incorporating breathing and pelvic floor exercises which also helps with lower back pain often experienced during pregnancy.
